One woman’s fight against female circumcision.

It’s estimated that tens of thousands of women living in the UK have undergone female genital mutilation – or female circumcision as it’s sometimes called. The practice is illegal in Britain. Comfort Momoh is a midwife who has dedicated her professional life to helping women who’ve been maimed, by reversing the procedure. Her work has now been given national recognition as she’s been awarded the annual Emma Humphrey’s prize.
