Having started playing piano at the age of seven, by fifteen Eliane Elias was director of the piano department at a music school in San Paulo. At twenty one she was attending the Julliard School in Manhattan. Now renowned for her virtuoso jazz improvisations, the Brazillian born musician has been nominated for two Grammy Awards and has recently released her 18th album.
