Jack Rosenthal's Last Act10 Jul 2006
When the dramatist Jack Rosenthal finally wrote his memoirs, he did so unusually, but fittingly, as a screenplay. His daughter Amy, who is also a playwright, has adapted them for Radio 4 and his wife, the actor, Maureen Lipman, is co-directing them as well as playing herself.

Maureen and Amy talk to Jenni Murray on Woman’s Hour, just prior to the first broadcast of Jack Rosenthal’s Last Act about the experience of transferring his memoirs to the radio and life without Jack.

Jack Rosenthal’s Last Act, Radio 4, July 10, 17, 24 and 31 at 11.30am

By Jack Rosenthal: An Autobiography in Six Acts, published by Robson, ISBN: 1861059604

Watch: BBC Norfolk webTV interview with Maureen Lipman
