50,000 babies are born prematurely every year in the UK. This is one of the highest rates in Europe, and the figure is still rising. So what causes premature births? Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh gave birth to a baby boy at just 21 weeks, who died after a few moments of life. She joins Jane to talk about her experiences. And Prof Lucilla Poston, Head of King’s College London’s Division of Reproduction and Endocrinology and Dr Mark Turner from Liverpool Women’s Hospital discuss what causes women to give birth prematurely.
Kym Marsh’s programme Born Too Soon: Tonight, is on ITV1, Monday 9th November at 8.00pm
