The violinist who won the 2002 BBC Young Musician of the Year at the age of just 12.
In 2002 Jennifer Pike won the BBC Young Musician of the Year award, when she was aged just twelve. Seven years on she's studying music at Oxford University and has just been awarded a London Music Masters career development award which gives support to exceptional young violinists. She is keen to encourage children in inner city boroughs to get involved in classical music and thinks primary school is best because children aren't too concerned with being 'cool' yet. She'll be playing live and talking to Jane about finding success so young.
In celebration of the award Jennifer will be playing an individual recital at the Wigmore Hall, London on the 22nd of October.
