On her haunting new novel 'The Little Stranger'

It was ‘Tipping the Velvet’ that got Sarah Waters talked about as one of the most talented writers of her generation. Since then her novels have been nominated for a clutch of awards (she’s been up for the Man Booker and the Orange Prize twice) and her new book ‘The Little Stranger’ is already attracting praise for its ‘otherworldly shiver’ and ‘between the lines excitement’. Jenni finds out why Sarah was inspired to write about an old country pile, and the possibility of ghosts.

'The Little Stranger' by Sarah Waters is published by Virago, ISBN: 9781844086016
