Angela Gheorghui as Madama Butterfly
The Internationally renowned opera singer

Angela Gheorghiu’s career as an opera singer has taken her far from her home country of Romania to concert venues all over the world. The daughter of a train driver, she sang Opera from an early age and it became clear she would be a singer. As her new recording of Madame Butterfly is released, she joins Jane to discuss her life and work.

The recording of Madama Butterfly is available from 10 March on EMI records
