The challenges of playing a musician with multiple sclerosis.

Jenni talks to the multi-award-winning actor, Juliet Stevenson about her role in Duet For One. This is a powerful play about a celebrated concert violinist who is forced to consider a life without music, after being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. The play consists of a series of consultations with a psychiatrist, in which the violinist’s valiant and witty composure is slowly picked apart to reveal her complex and bitter personality.

Duet for One is at the Almeida Theatre, London, until 14 March 2009
