Snow
Its special place in children's literature

With snow storms being predicted for next week, it’s looking as though this winter may be the coldest we’ve had for over ten years. Nevertheless, if temperatures continue to rise, we can’t be sure that snow will continue to play a part in the climate of future generations – sadly they may have to go abroad to experience the pleasures of falling snow. Faith Lawrence talks to Julia Eccleshare from the Guardian, and Charlie English, author of ‘The Snow Tourist – a search for the world’s purest deepest snowfall” about the special place that snow has played in children’s literature.
