Bruce Byron
A look at the male attitude to losing weight

Sixty one percent of men are overweight in the UK and if current trends continue nearly sixty percent of the UK population would actually be obese by 2050. The government launched a campaign this month 'Change4life' to encourage everyone to eat better and move more. The actor, Bruce Byron, best known as DC Terry Perkins from the Bill lost three stone in six months. He talks to Jane about his experience of dieting and how men diet in a different way to women. They are joined by the writer and broadcaster Hardeep Singh Kohli who has been detoxing in eastern Europe.
