Judith Kerr

Judith Kerr is the author of many children’s books including the Mog series and the classic and acclaimed story of her own childhood as a refugee, “When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit”. But one of her best-known works remains her first, “The Tiger Who Came to Tea”, published 40 years ago this year. The story of a little girl called Sophie and her mum, who happen to be joined by a tiger for tea, has become a true classic of children’s literature, not least because of its wonderful illustrations. She joins Jane to talk about her life and work.
