Leading physicist Athene Donald has just scooped one of the most prestigious awards for female scientists. She is only the second British scientist to be made a laureate for Unesco/L’Oreal’s Women in Science awards. Her work in physics was applauded for its cross-disciplinary approach. For example, her research into proteins is helping clinicians to better understand Alzheimer’s and other neurodegenerative diseases. She joins Jenni to discuss her passion for the physical world.
