Randy Crawford and Joe Sample
On her latest classic jazz and blues songs

Randy Crawford started singing in clubs chaperoned by her father aged just 15. She made her name in the mid seventies on the New York jazz scene performing alongside musicians like George Benson and Quincy Jones. But it was her transatlantic hit “Street Life” that made her a star in 1979. The song was written for her by pianist and composer Joe Sample who’d worked with her on her very first recording. 30 years later, they’ve teamed up to launch a collection of classic jazz and blues songs called “No Regrets”. Jane talks to Randy about their working relationship, the inspiration behind their hit songs and how she developed her phenomenal vocal talent.

“No Regrets” is released by Wrasse Records and Randy Crawford and Joe Sample are touring the UK in November and December.
