A mother’s campaign to find out why her son died from vCJD
When twenty-four year old Andrew Black became unwell last year and started shaking, his mother Christine knew instinctively that he was suffering from more than a fever or a cold. Andy was eventually diagnosed with variant CJD and has since died. Christine is now determined to find out how her son could have contracted the disease, which of us might still develop it, and to expose those she believes knowingly put the population’s health at risk. She joins Jenni to talk about her campaign.
