Is a serious shortage of nurses putting babies at risk?

A report this week has again highlighted a growing crisis in the provision of neonatal care in Britain. The report from the Public Accounts Committee says specialist care for sick or premature babies is failing, due to constraints in capacity and a serious shortage of neonatal nurses. Health professionals have been warning for years that the service was nearing breaking point - so what impact is this having on the provision of care and can the problems be reversed? Andy Cole, chief executive of the baby charity, Bliss and Dr Sandie Bohin, Head of Service for neonatal care at University Hospital, Leicester join Jenni to ask how we can address the serious shortages of neonatal nurses.
