The Appeal of Boybands23 May 2008
Take That at the Brit Awards 1996
Just why do we still love listening to our teenage heartthrobs?

With a musical featuring songs from Take That hitting the West End and Boyzone announcing a new tour, it seems that boyband fever is taking over the country – again. So what is the enduring appeal of boybands, and why do grown women still want to listen to the music of their teenage heartthrobs? Emma Jones, former editor of Smash Hits, and the music journalist Sheryl Garratt join Jane to relive their favourite boybands - from the Bay City Rollers to Boyzone, via Backstreet Boys and Bros.

Never Forget, the musical about Take That opening 21st May 2008 at the Savoy Theatre
