Choosing to become a mother

From the age of 20, Rebecca Walker knew she wanted a child, but it took another 14 years for her to decide the time was right. She chronicled her pregnancy, reflecting on her growing baby, the role of her partner Glen and the deterioration of her relationship with her mother, the writer and feminist Alice Walker. She joins Jenni to talk about the resulting book, Baby Love, which is a plea to reassess our view of having children.

“Baby Love” is published by Souvenir Press ISBN 9780 28563 820 4
