The performance artist talks about her new work – Homeland.
Laurie Anderson came to prominence as part of the New York art scene in the early Seventies and became well known in the UK in 1981 when her single ‘O Superman’ reached number 2 in the British singles charts. Now she is visiting Britain to perform her latest work - a series of songs and stories called ‘Homeland’. The music features her electronic violin and keyboard, as well as the erhu and hurdy gurdy. She joins Jenni to talk about 'Homeland', a work which asks searching questions about 21st century American values.
