International
Ingrid Betancourt28 Jan 2008
Colombian presidential candidate remains a FARC hostage after almost six years.

The Colombian left wing guerrilla organisation, FARC, recently released two high profile female hostages. One of them was kidnapped alongside the Colombian Presidential candidate Ingrid Betancourt while they were both on the campaign trial back in 2002. Ingrid though, remains in rebel hands and has spent almost six years in a jungle jail. Jane talks to the Vice President of Colombia, Francisco Santos and discusses the situation with Ingrid’s sister Astrid and the BBC’s Colombian correspondent Jeremy McDermott.
