The life, music and passion of "La Divina"

Maria Callas is one of the best known singers of the 20th century. She played a diverse range of roles – from Wagner’s Brunhilde to the lighter operas of Bellini and helped to change the perception of opera, with her dramatic characterisation. Sotheby’s in Milan are auctioning off many of her artefacts from love letters to the dresses she wore for her final concert performances and Jenni will be discussing her life, music and enduring appeal 30 years after her death with Sotheby’s fashion consultant Kerry Taylor and Neil Fisher, Classical and Opera Editor at The Times.
