The mezzo soprano's homage to those who lived and died at Theresienstadt
The songs that Anne Sofie von Otter performs on her latest album were all composed by prisoners in the Theresienstadt concentration camp. They stand as a tribute to the rich cultural life that these men managed to foster against all the odds.
Miriam talks to the famed mezzo soprano about what drew her to this music.
Anne Sofie von Otter is performing at Queen Elizabeth Hall, South Bank Centre on Saturday 27th October at 1945. She returns to London on Tuesday 11th December to perform Christmas songs at the Wigmore Hall.
