History
Hanna Nuuttila from the Sea Watch Foundation26 June 2007
Hanna Nuutila, Sightings Officer for the Sea Watch Foundation.
Monitoring dolphins, whales and porpoises around the UK coastline.

Hanna Nuutila is a marine biologist and the Sightings Officer for the Sea Watch Foundation. Based in Cardigan Bay in West Wales, Hanna spends her time monitoring dolphins, whales and porpoises – collectively known as cetaceans. Twenty-eight different species have been recorded in recent years in UK waters. Now the Sea Watch Foundation are keen to get more people involved by joining experienced observers at lookout points along the coastline during this week's National Whale and Dolphin Watch. Hanna joins Jenni to explain why it is important that they gather this information, how to tell a dolphin from a porpoise and to give us tips on the best places to go for the most exciting cetacean sightings.
