Breast Cancer
On Monday Cancer Research UK announced that scientists have discovered four more genes which could increase a woman’s risk of developing breast cancer. This is the most significant finding since two rare genes BRCA1 and BRCA2 were discovered a decade ago.

But what implications will this have for the treatment of breast cancer? In the last few weeks a number of new drug treatments have been announced and a range of more ‘targeted’ treatments are currently undergoing trials. Jenni is joined by Professor Paul Pharoah, Senior Clinical Research Fellow at the Cancer Research UK Department of Oncology in Cambridge and Dr Emma Pennery, Nurse Consultant at Breast Cancer Care.
