Joan Wasser22 Dec 2006
Joan Wasser played the violin with the Boston University Symphony Orchestra before deciding to turn her attention to rock music. As a violinist, she’s worked with Lou Reed, Sheryl Crow, Elton John, Antony and the Johnsons and the Scissor Sisters. She now sings with her band Joan as Policewoman, and has been described as the ‘indie generation’s Dusty Springfield’. As well as playing her new single “The Ride” in the studio, she’ll be telling Martha how she combined her love of punk and classical music
