The Duchess of Malfi was first performed in 1614 and provides one of the greatest female roles in theatre. She’s a woman who defies convention and her family to marry the man she loves. She pays a high price for her independence, losing her children and ultimately her life. A new production of the play – set in the 1950’s - has opened and garnered triumphant reviews. Imogen Stubbs, who plays the Duchess, will be joining Jenni in the studio.
