Elish Angiolini – Lord Advocate16 October 2006
History was made last Thursday in Scotland with the official installation of Elish Angiolini as Lord Advocate.

She is the first woman to hold the post in its 500 year history and is now the most important legal voice in Scotland.

She is the woman behind a major initiative to reform the way sexual assault is investigated and prosecuted, changes that have been hailed as a ’revolution’ in the Scottish judicial system. She is also passionate about victim support and has pioneered Scotland’s National Victim Information and Advice (VIA) Service.

Elish Angiolini talks to Sheila about her hopes for her new job.
