The first female space tourist20 October 2006
“A long time ago in a country far, far away.... there was a young girl who had her eyes fixed on the twinkling stars of the night skies of Tehran.”

So begins the blog of Anousheh Ansari, the world’s first female space tourist, describing her eleven day trip in space. Back on earth, she joins Martha to discuss what everyday life is like in space, from the training programme, to the motion sickness and the practicalities of washing your hair in zero gravity.
