The award winning trumpeter Alison Balsom is performing at Hyde Park on Saturday night, one of the Proms in the Park events taking place around the country, and which links into the Last Night at the Albert Hall. She talks to Jenni about why she was first attracted to the trumpet, why she thinks it doesn't deserve its masculine image and how she has been expanding the repertoire of the instrument.
