Thea Gilmore23 Aug 2006
Ever since her first album was released eight years ago, when she was just eighteen, Thea Gilmore has produced a prolific array of provocative and poetic songs. One critic described her as a "hellraiser with a voice like honey".

Her new album "Harpo's Ghost" was born out of one of the most volatile periods of her life, during which she was both diagnosed with clinical depression and split up with her partner of seven years, but also discovered she was pregnant and toured with Joan Baez. She talks to Jane Little about these highs and lows and plays live.

Thea Gilmore's new album Harpo's Ghost is released by Sanctuary Records on 21st August 2006.
