Health
The Return of Syphilis24 July 2006
Annual statistics released this month show that syphilis is making a dramatic return, and although the number of people infected today is still relatively small, the increase in reported cases is alarming. The number of men with syphilis has gone up by more than 2000% in a decade, and the number of women by 870%.

So why is "the great imitator" making an unwelcome comeback. Jenni is joined by Dr Lesley Hall an expert on sex, gender and social change from the Wellcome Library and Dr Patrick French, a government advisor and consultant in sexually transmitted infections at the Mortimer Market Centre in London .
