Is The Da Vinci Code feminist enough?15 May 2006
Next Friday sees the release of The Da Vinci code, which intertwines fact and fiction, in the frantic hunt for the Holy Grail. Integral to the plot is the role that women have played in religion and on Monday’s programme

Jenni Murray talks to Dr Gemma Simmonds and Christina Reese about whether The Da Vinci Code can be seen as a feminist novel. They will also be discussing the real role of women in the early church and why their contribution has been played down over the centuries.
