I came in to the programme yesterday to perform a one-minute musical which my friends and I had only eighty minutes to write. John was so friendly and funny, he completely put us at ease. He was such a gentleman and his professional but jokey manner made it feel like popping into a friend's office for a chat. We completely forgot we were live on air. He gave us respect, he was kind to us and made us feel extremely welcome. Congratulations on 20 years of service, John. Here's to the next 20.
With best regards,
Duncan Wisbey

My favourite interviews were John's demolition of Jonathan Aitken in 1995 and a similar demolition of Harriet Harman as Social Security Secretary in 1997. John provides such an uplifting start to the day against what is a seemingly unstoppable sense of 'dumming down' in so many other aspects of our lives! It is perhaps a justifiable reason for human cloning to continue the good work as we know in another 20 years John willing wanting a rest. Congratulations on 20 years superb broadcasting.

What I love about John Humphrys is his skill in changing his style for each interviewee and my favourite interview was with the boy who had to pay to take his hamster (I think) on the bus. If I remember rightly the interview followed the hard hitting 8.10am interview. I was listening whilst sat in a traffic jam on the M4 and the warmth and humour with which John interviewed the young man elicited the most wonderful responses and the item made me smile for the rest of the day.

Undoubtedly the highlight "then your not fit to be prime minister. " to Mr Blair. Cheers!

Dear John, I am from Slovenia, student, and I really enjoy to listen your radio program, especially Today every day I am able to. You are all great. Especially you, I really adore you. You are definitely one of the best speakers I know, interviewer ... the best. My favorite moment or better, my favorite interviews were, when you talk with religious leaders. State of the art talk. In the end, did those interviews move you? Did they change your attitude to the religion … God? Keep great work on John! I am happy I can listen you. Congratulations on 20 years!
Best regards,
Peter Stegnar

Congratulations. John does the country a fantastic service in keeping governments like this to account. I hope he will continue to do so for many more years.
Bernard
