Out with the old, in with the new, as Argentina prepares for a new president
A provincial Argentinian governor, Nestor Kirchner, is preparing to take office as the country's next president.
It's been a busy few weeks in the country's already eventful political history. Former leader Carlos Menem dropped out of the presidential race, avoiding what many predict would have been a landslide second round victory for his Peronist opponent.
Whilst Menem won the most support of any candidate in the first round of voting in April, opinion polls predicted he'd lose had he stayed in the contest long enough to go head-to-head with 53-year-old Kirchner in the ballot that was due over the weekend.
