Guest Editors - The Duchess of York

After last year's success of inviting well known people to come and be a guest editor on the Today programme, we thought we'd do it all over again.

"Today is the most important news programme in Britain so I couldn't resist the chance to use it to highlight serious issues like the terribly debilitating motor neurone disease."

So said the Duchess of York when she was approached to be a Guest Editor on the Today programme. Apart from MND, the Duchess was also keen to have a look at the problem of childhood obesity.

She made time to visit a supermarket with a leading nutritionist to find out how families can fight the problem. She also wanted the programme to tackle health minister Melanie Johnson on the long-term impact of obesity.
