Turkey's ambitions in northern Iraq have - for the duration of this conflict - exercised the minds of coalition leaders on both sides of the Atlantic. Despite preventing the US from launching its ground campaign in Iraq from their soil, the Turkish leadership has itself amassed troops close to the Iraqi border.

Today's Zubeida Malik asked the Turkish Ambassador to the UK, Akin Alptuna, to clarify his government's position.
