Watching and waiting

Taken in March 2003 before the invasion of Baghdad, these Iraqi soldiers appear unconcerned. The picture’s impact comes from the relaxed pose of the soldiers – and our knowledge of what is to come, Ayperi Karabuda Ecer explains.
