It's late Spring in the mid-1700s. The pond is no longer a peaceful place. In the shadows among the weeds, battles over territory are lost and won, and predators stalk their prey. The programme takes listeners underwater into the battle ground. Then, as spring turns to summer, so the acoustic world of the pond changes; and many of the pond creatures appear from the surface as stunning aviators - and our frogs turn from tadpoles into frogs.
