Broadmoor special
Given unparalleled access to Broadmoor hospital, Dr Raj Persaud goes inside to speak to staff and patients about the treatment and therapies available to them. The high security psychiatric hospital houses and rehabilitates some of Britain's most notorious offenders, as far as the press is concerned. Among its several hundred patients is Peter Sutcliffe, labelled by the tabloids the Yorkshire Ripper. Raj looks around the facilities including old Victorian wards, which a recent report by the Commission for Health Improvement criticised as 'totally unfit for purpose'.
