Nathan Myhrvold used to be chief scientist at the computer software giant Microsoft. Now he’s started a company - Intellectual Ventures - obsessed with ideas.
It’s an invention machine creating a portfolio of patents which eventually might change our lives. But critics think he will try to stifle innovation by taking patent infringers to court. Peter Day hears Nathan Myhrvold's rejection of those claims, and his vision of the future.
