The Oxford Concert Party

The power of music

Listen to the item

Musicians The Oxford Concert Party play music from all over the world and specialise in an unusual form of music therapy believing that music can raise troubled spirits and help heal wounded souls. They recently went along to Campsfield Immigration Removal Centre which is where male immigrants and asylum seekers are sent either pending a final verdict or prior to deportation.

Home Truths reporter Dilly Barlow joined them to find out whether music did have the power to raise spirits.
