John White is a 79-year-old widower and father of four who's certainly got plenty to be proud of over the years. He's been a tank driver, a shepherd and a postman. He's also a big fan of the great outdoors and when he was younger he spent a year cycling from Canada to Mexico.
These days John stays a bit closer to home in Newport, Shropshire. But that doesn't stop him being very active. He walks miles every day with his loyal companion Scamp, picking up litter and collecting for charity.
Reporter Michael Cleere discovered that John is also very fond of whistling.
