Stuart Nicholls emailed after hearing the recent item about the 999 recorded message used as one of the early burglar alarms. When Stuart was 16 his first job was working installing these alarms in various premises from housing estates to shopping centres and stately homes.
At this time these were state of the art alarms and often they'd be set off accidently when being installed...
