Douglas Barclay hadn't seen his son Nicholas for 21 years until he heard through a friend that he desperately needed a kidney transplant. After consulting his family he offered his kidney to his son who at first refused it. However after having bad side effects from the dialysis he accepted his father's offer, tests were done and Douglas was a perfect match.
