Down at the Square and Compass in Purbeck, Dorset they know all about pumpkins - very big pumpkins. In fact they have a pumpkin festival every year. The contest is usually a two horse race between locals Paul Lauden and Ray Aplin.
In the run up to competition day each contestant's progress with their pumpkins is shrouded in fearsome secrecy. The resulting monster pumpkins are so huge that they have to be winched onto the scales with a JCB digger.
Home Truth's reporter Melissa Viney joined Paul six weeks before the big event.
