Steam Cops

Listen to the item

Paul Sheppee and Stuart Cotton met in the police force and their friendship has been forged in the crucible of 30 years policing.

Like many jobs, policing is hardly nine to five and policemen can occasionally be a tad obsessional about their work - but Carol and Beverley have had to put up with another rival for their husbands' affections - the steam railway at Swanage.

Paul and Stuart love this railway and now they're retired, they naturally feel that they can finally give her the attention she deserves.

But how do their wives feel about that? Home Truths reporter Melissa Viney went along to find out.
