Memory loss

Listen to the item

When Sue Nixey - now Sue Baker - was a teenager, she was involved in a very serious car accident. It was so serious that the friend who was in the car with her was killed and Sue herself lost her memory. Everything that happened before the accident is a total blank.

Over the intervening years, Sue's just got on with life but recently, a chance encounter with an old school friend inspired the organisation of a reunion, an opportunity to meet up with chums she hadn't seen since her teens.

Our reporter, Fiona Clampin, went to meet Sue at her Wiltshire home.
