Rosie May Storrie was 10-years-old when she was murdered at a family Christmas party in December 2003. Eighteen-year-old Paul Smith, who suffers from Aspergers Syndrome, was jailed for life the following October.

Her parents, Graham and Mary, decided to take their two teenage sons on holiday for Christmas to the Maldives where they found themselves caught up in the Tsunami. They came to no harm and felt that Rosie May was looking down on them.

As a result, they are setting up an orphanage for tsunami victims.
