Julia Kenkre is a trainee doctor. Like all British medical students, as part of her course Julia was encouraged to spend some time working abroad to learn about medicine in a completely different setting. Julia chose to go to a European country which only opened its doors to the West in the 1990s - Albania.

Julia was fairly sure she could cope, but as her audio diary reveals, only just.
