For years, Mo Lacey was aware of a secret in her family's past, which should never, ever be told.
James was Mo's grandfather, but his wife, Rose, was not her grandma. Her grandmother was, in fact, Rose's sister Rachel.
Thus her dad and his siblings were all illegitimate, born of an illicit liaison in the days when such a pedigree was the subject of deep shame rather than a diverting natter on the radio.
Times have changed, though, so Mo came along to talk to David about the skeleton rattling around in the family-sized cupboard.
