the advert from the 1884 newspaper

Past plasterers

Mike Ferris is a decorative plasterer. While helping with the restoration of Preston Railway station, he noticed a scrap of newspaper behind a cornice. When Mike pulled out the paper, he found it was a newspaper dated Monday November 17th 1884. On it he found an advert that gave him a bit of a shock. He tells Paul why.
